St. Louis Project LAUNCH beginning Oct. 2019!

From Vision for Children at Risk:

We have big news to share! VCR has received 5-years of funding through SAMHSA for Project LAUNCH (Linking Action for Unmet Needs in Children's Health). We will be working alongside the community and focusing on promoting the healthy development of young children. We will work diligently towards:

1.  Improving coordination and collaboration across family and child serving systems;

2.  Enhance the knowledge and behaviors of parents of children 0-8 on topics of early childhood development and community resources; and

3.  Increasing capacity of child care and early child providers on topics of early childhood social and emotional development.

The work will be centered around the City of St. Louis, and will be in support of children, parents/guardians, and professional caregivers. This will be a great opportunity to build upon the six successful years we had with the statewide Missouri Project LAUNCH from 2012-2018.

This is a big opportunity, one that cannot be done alone. We are grateful to our many partners that made this possible, and made commitments for impactful work. Some of the partners that have already joined in on this initiative include: Affinia, BJC, Behavioral Health Response, Brown School Evaluation Center, Cardinal Glennon/St. Louis University, Delta Gamma Center, St. Louis Public Schools, and United 4 Children.

There will be many opportunities to engage with St. Louis Project LAUNCH, including: a Young Child Wellness Council, a Parent Advisory Council, partnering opportunities, employment, and more. We hope you will consider joining us on this journey towards child well-being.
