Saving Babies, Strengthening Families

Nurses for Newborns (NFN) provides in-home visits by registered nurses to families with infant children, for the purpose of checking in on the health and overall well-being of the family. The nurse serves as a Case Manager and provides full infant and mother medical assessments, developmental screenings, tips on parenting, and referrals if you need other resources (such as formula, diapers, and infant clothing).

Additionally, NFN employs social workers who may provide in-home counseling, including cognitive behavioral therapy, and can refer clients with more complex counseling needs to partner agencies who provide counseling services. NFN also employs Community Health Workers, who can serve as interpreters, assist with complex social needs, and often work closely with the mother or caregiver.
