Funding for Community Projects Benefitting Moms and Babies

FLOURISH is now offering funding for individuals and organizations who have ideas that will improve the lives of moms, babies and families in St. Louis.

The Community Mobilization and Innovation Fund will enable community groups and individuals to implement new and existing community engagement efforts that promote maternal and infant vitality, provide social support and healing, and/or build community in priority zip codes where infant mortality is at its worst (63104, 63106, 63107, 63111, 63112, 63113, 63118, 63120, 63121, 63133, 63135, 63136, 63140, 63144, 63147).

Examples of projects we might fund include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing baby-related supplies to families
  • Leading peer groups/education
  • Connecting families to resources
  • Assisting with housing challenges or transportation need

People who want to apply for funding can learn more here. This page includes frequently asked questions about the application process. We also will host informational sessions which will answer any additional questions – click here to see dates and times for these sessions. The deadline to submit an application for this funding is Friday, July 12.

The Community Mobilization and Innovation Fund is one of three categories of funding available through the FLOURISH St. Louis Fund. The other two categories will support nonprofit organizations working in aligned activities that support our priority areas, and organizations seeking to build capacity in racial equity. We will provide more information about these opportunities when the application period for these grants opens in late summer/early fall.
