STL Youth Jobs’ mission is to bridge the divide between our region’s youth and the growing skills gap in our workforce. STL Youth Jobs’ sole purpose is youth employment. STL Youth Jobs’ long-term goal is to change the landscape of employment opportunities for youth so that they have the experience and skills required to accommodate employer needs, maintain a job and grow that experience into a career.

STL Youth Jobs provides youth (ages 16-24) with a paid summer work experience through a local employer while also providing mentoring, career counseling and case management from a job coach, financial empowerment training and access to a youth-friendly bank account, as well as vital job readiness & essential skills training.

STL Youth Jobs has expanded its geographical footprint, increased the number of investments and employer partnerships and (most importantly) helped more than 4,000 youth gain essential job skills and connect to over 250 local employers to become a more job-ready workforce.
