This Virtual Town Hall meeting, co-hosted by FLOURISH STL and the NAACP-St. Louis County Branch, will have a two-part focus. For the first portion, we have invited experts from the field to share their knowledge and expertise regarding how they have been successful in removing barriers for Black moms and babies while also sharing their invaluable lens as it pertains to healthcare and how entire systems can shift/change to ensure the best outcomes for Black moms and babies.

During the second portion of this Virtual Town Hall which will be facilitated by the FLOURISH Impact & Improvement Team Co-Chairs Burnea Lester and Monique Norfolk, we are also welcoming our community members to the table to ensure that their voices are heard to ensure that we embrace their experiences and their invaluable lens regarding what they know needs to change and what processes need to be put in place as we work to shift the narrative and effect REAL systems change. As a Black community, we are TIRED of our voices not being heard. We are TIRED of our moms and babies dying. We are TIRED of excuses and we are TIRED of changes not occurring in our community. From here, we promise to not only LISTEN, but to also take ACTION and put in the WORK to effectively remove barriers and create the CHANGE we all deserve!
